Taking the role of the passive viewer, these seemingly ordinary videos depict the view from a New York City subway window. These videos seek to provide vestibules of reverie in playing out the tensions between the varying forms of landscape: the inner metallic guts of the underground, the small glimpses of bodies of water, entourages of ambient strangers.
Wayne Bund is an MFA candidate in PNCA's Visual Studies program. He straddles the line between performance and photography, using persona and images to question notions of identity and authorship. He has exhibited at PNCA, Disjecta, and the Mark Wooley Gallery, and is performing as part of PICA's TBA Festival 09.
